Vegan Breakfast Ideas
There are also many vegan breakfast ideas using fruit toppings. I love banana pudding, but there are other great options available. I personally love oatmeal cookies topped with a generous helping of honey and nutmeg but feel free to omit the nutmeg if you’d rather skip it. There are many delicious nut-filled recipes available online, so take a look and get inspired!
For those who aren’t quite up to snuff for vegan breakfast ideas, there’s one place you can always go: the grocery store. Yes, there are plenty of amazing, healthful vegan recipes out there that don’t require the addition of meat, eggs, or dairy. Some of my favorites include… yummy sweet pancakes, hash browns, and healthy omelets. With a little creativity, you can create delicious vegan breakfasts without a lot of extra work or ingredients.
Savory vegan breakfast ideas often involve spices and ingredients commonly found in the kitchen. Some of my favorite veggie-based “how to” tips include using cumin to cook onions; adding garlic to tomatoes, and making a hearty chili with vegan lean ground beef. However, some people don’t think of coconut flour in their vegan cooking or are maybe afraid of substituting soy flour with regular flour. Fortunately, there are a number of quick and easy substitutes that will get you on your way to eating healthy with little effort. Here are some of my best tips:
A Much Ado
Use Coconut Oil as a Substitute For Alternative Flour: If you aren’t going to be baking, oatmeal, savory, or hash browns aren’t going to give you the fiber and protein you need to get your daily USP. That’s where coconut oil comes in handy. Coconut oil is loaded with healthy fats and boasts a surprisingly good health reputation, thanks in part to its ability to promote weight loss and slow down the development of diabetes. This means you can enjoy a great-tasting breakfast and take your pick of sweet ingredients like maple syrup and agave nectar, or go with a more plain and healthy meal like collard greens and vegetables. For breakfast nachos or a vegan loaded salad, add some chopped fresh vegetables to the mix for some extra vegetables without any sweetness.
Try a Tofu scramble: Tofu is an excellent alternative to regular cheese in a scrambled egg and hash brown recipe. Because it doesn’t have much taste of meat, it has a mild yet rich flavor that masks the taste of cheese. To make a tofu scramble, start out with eggs and vegan cheese (such as brie or avocado), depending on your taste. Spread a thin layer of cheese over the top, and then top with a slice of tofu. If desired, season with pepper or other spices and bake in an oven or stovetop. When ready to serve, sprinkle with additional spices, fold over the tofu, and enjoy!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so if you want to enjoy a healthy and convenient meal, try one of these vegan scramble recipes. You can have your guests eating tofu scramble while watching television in the same room! Best of all, they are both delicious fast! What’s better than waking up to a mouthwatering tofu scramble waiting for it to sink in? It’s well worth the effort!
